An encrypted and secure mail – ProtonMail

Electronic mail is one of the most popular forms of contact on the Internet today. Mailboxes are used at work or school. They are also used to exchange files or photos with friends. The undisputed leader in this branch of communication is Google, whose Gmail handles most accounts in the world today. However, this does not mean that there are no reasonable alternatives, which allow us to increase our security or send encrypted messages. A good example here is ProtonMail, which seems to be more popular among fans of anonymity in the network. How does it work and is it free? Find out the answers to these questions below.

ProtonMail focuses mainly on security. All servers are located in Switzerland. The principles of functioning of this mailbox and its privacy policy are based on strict Swiss law.

ProtonMail – price, features and possibilities

Noteworthy is that you can create a ProtonMail mailbox for free. However, the FREE version is quite limited and offers users limited support, 150 messages per day and 500 GB of disk space in the cloud. The PLUS version (4 € per month) offers, among others, 1000 messages per day, 5 GB of disk space, the possibility of using your own domain, sending encrypted messages, the use of up to 5 email aliases and full support. The VISIONARY version (24 € per month) offers full functionality with all extended options, including access to the ProtonVPN service. The ProtonMail provides its users with end-to-end encryption, fully anonymous email (no personal information is necessary upon registration) and a modern, yet functional, design of its mailbox. Therefore, it seems to be a reasonable alternative for users bored or disappointed with other mailboxes, especially as you can use the free version. Have you used ProtonMail?
